Spy Earpiece: E-mail will be projected directly on the contact lenses?

A new generation of contact lenses will project an image directly in front of your eyes. Scientists say that this revolutionary way of obtaining information will be widely available after a series of successful tests on animals.

The technology was developed by Finnish and American researchers. It will receive e-mails from computer generated images and output different texts direct to contact lenses. Tests have shown that the device is safe and can be put into mass production.

However, there is a number of minor problems that need improvement. Among others, to find a reliable source of power for lenses. The present experimental prototype can only work in few inches from the wireless power source. Also a current chip is only suitable for one type of light emitting diode.

Scientists have made possibility to increase the number of pixels in the lens, so that it could reproduce complicated holographic images.

This will help, for example, drivers who are using these lenses to see a route or their speed on the windshield.
In addition, the new lenses can theoretically bring the virtual world of video games to a new level.

This invention can theoretically be used for the rapid receiving of important medical information, such as the level of sugar in blood of people with diabetes. In this case instrument should be combined with biosensors in a patient's body.
The next target of scientists is to bring text to the lens. The major issue was solved, namely, focusing the eye on the image. As a rule, we can see clearly only those objects that are a few inches from our eyes.
